CURRENT POSITION:

ASSISTANT TECHNICAL DIRECTOR - Alley Theatre (Houston, TX), L.ORT  B+C, July 2007 - Present, Proscenium & Black Box Stages, duties include (but not limited to) working closely with the TD and other ATD to supervise 14 person scene shop,  AutoCAD drafting, budgeting materials and labor, scheduling, ordering materials and supplies, and working with motion control.

TECHNICAL DIRECTOR – PLAYMAKERS Repertory Company, Department of Dramatic Art, (The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill), L.O.R.T. D, April – May 2005, Thrust Stage: Duties includes (but not limited to) creating time & financial budgets for final show of the season, Caesar and Cleopatra, drafting construction plates, producing and maintaining the work list for the Scene Shop, coordinating projects with properties and electrics, managing shop personnel of professionals, graduates, undergraduate workers, and overseeing load-in and strike.

ASSISTANT TECHNICAL DIRECTOR – PLAYMAKERS Repertory Company, Department of Dramatic Art, (The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill), L.O.R.T. D, April, 2004 – Present. Thrust Stage: Duties includes (but not limited to) assisting the TD with time and financial budgets, drafting construction plates, producing and maintaining a work list for the Scene Shop, coordinating projects with properties and electrics, managing shop personnel of professionals, graduates, undergraduate workers, and assisting in overseeing load-in and strike. Uncle Vanya, King Lear, A Prayer for Owen Meany & Luminosity (both, United States Premier).

CARPENTER PLAYMAKERS Repertory Company, Department of Dramatic Art, (The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill), L.O.R.T. D, August, 2002 to April 2004, Thrust Stage: Duties included general stagecraft for season's five productions. This includes experience in advanced carpentry and woodworking, basic lighting, rigging, metalworking, and general fabrication.

 

CARPENTER - Utah Shakespearean Festival (Cedar City, Utah), May to August, 2003, Randall Jones Theater: Duties included, but not limited to, carpentry, welding, advanced metalwork, advanced finish carpentry for the Tony Award-winning Summer Festival.

LEAD WELDER - Georgia Shakespeare Festival (Atlanta, GA), LORT D, Summer 2002, Proscenium Stage: Duties included building four shows: carpentry; welding; advanced metal work, Oxygen/Acetylene Torch cutting, finish carpentry.

 CARPENTER - Alliance Theatre Company (Atlanta, GA), LORT B, January, 2001 to May, 2002, multiple stages: Duties include, but not limited to, woodworking, welding, metalwork, automation setup & implementation, light rigging, and all load in(s) & load out(s) for the eleven show season.

 SHOP SUPERVISOR - Dance & Theatre Department (The University of North Carolina - Charlotte), January to December, 2000, Proscenium Stage: Duties included teaching assistant to Technical Director for Stagecraft; tool maintenance; Tour Manager of a world premier production; overseeing crew of fifteen students in scenery and properties construction, as well as, electrics; finished carpentry; and rigging.

 TECHNICAL DIRECTOR - Snow Camp Outdoor Historical Drama Society, May to August, 1998, Outdoor Amphitheater (Snow Camp, NC): Duties included organizing and leading building and maintaining process for two Historical productions, Children's Show, and Broadway Musical, Oklahoma!; overseeing crew of 11 actor/technicians, Pyrotechnics Master (shotguns, pistols, cannon, mortars, reloading ammunition, & teaching gun safety), horse wrangler, adapting and leading light hang, developing the safe "hanging" of an actor, general properties construction/repair, perform in three shows, overseeing load in and strike.

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

MIG Welding; Oxygen/Acetylene Torch (cutting & brazing); Plasma Torch; AutoCAD 2002; can drive 24 foot truck; Propane Forklift, Electric Reach Truck, Electric Pallet Jack, and Electric Order Picker trained - The Home Depot (February 1997); Basic Locksmithing Trained - The Home Depot (June 1996); Eagle Scout; creative problem solving with BondoŇ ; and undefeated Jell-OŇ & mud wrestler.
